All Events and Meetings are Open to the Public

March 20, 2022 at 2:00 pm

Bernie Faul will make a presentation on the Veteran's Freedom Walk, the new Veterans Memorial that is to be constructed in the Greene County Courthouse yard.  Bernie will show illustrations of the Memorial, the placement, and how to add names to the walkway.

May 15, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Methodist Church Fellowship Hall


Dotty Day wil make a presentation on red and white quilts.  Many of the quilts will also be on display.  Members and guests may bring one of their own red and white quilts to share.

July 17, 2022 at 2:00 pm


David McGraw will make a presentatioin entitled "A Morning with Thomas Jefferson" to outline and highlight his life and contributions to the country.

September 9 - 10, 2022  - Annual Greene County Days


Museum and library will be open for tours both days from 9 am to 3 pm. Several activities and special exhibits will be conducted both days in the museum.

November 20, 2022 at 2:00 pm


Rick Hires of Carrollton will make a presentation on the History of the Sharon Funeral Home, totay known as the Airsman-Hires Funeral Home.

January 16, 2022 at 2:00 pm


All attendees bring Greene County Advertising Memorabilia prior to 1950 to present and discuss.

The mission of the Society shall be to research, collect care for, exhibit, and interpret items that illustrate the history of Greene County from settlement to the present time, and place it in the context of the history of the State of Illinois.
